Conservatory Outlet’s main dealer site www.conservatoryoutletdealers.co.uk has been given a fresh new look to help the company attract further dealers to its burgeoning network and get closer to its target of achieving full UK coverage.

The new site, put together by web design specialists Motionlab Marketing, has been redesigned to bring it in line with the theme of its main retail site. It seeks to give any interested dealer the full Conservatory Outlet proposition, informing them of the significant benefits of signing up.

New content has also been added throughout the site and navigation has been made as simple as possible so that new and existing dealers can find information as and when they need it.

The Conservatory Outlet dealership accounts for over 50% of UK installers and currently has 15 dealers on board covering the length and breadth of the country, but rather than rest on their laurels, the…

Conservatory Outlet Increases Its Marketing Manpower

Author: Conservatory Outlet Team  |  Leave a Comment >>

Conservatory Outlet has made its latest investment in marketing; this time in the form of twenty-four-year-old Ben Wilson, who has joined the company’s successful PR and Marketing team.

Ben, a graduate from Sheffield Hallam University with valuable previous experience in the window industry, will provide marketing support across the board for both Conservatory Outlet and its network of dealers. Indeed, one of his first objectives is to establish a more regular and effective communication channel between head office and regional dealers, as well as to help these individual dealers achieve more exposure in their local press. He will also be charged with raising the awareness of Conservatory Outlet’s admirable environmental policy and the work of the associated charities that MD Matthew Glover is involved with.

Ben’s arrival at Conservatory Outlet comes just three months after it announced the appointment of Greg Kane as Sales Director. The recent investment in personnel…

Conservatory Outlet Reports Dealer Sales Up For 2010

Author: Conservatory Outlet Team  |  Leave a Comment >>

Conservatory Outlet dealers are significantly bucking the trend and are increasing sales, despite reports that suggest that the market has shrunk considerably.

The latest Palmer Report indicated that the windows, doors and conservatory market fell by about 11% over the last year, while purchases made by existing Conservatory Outlet dealers increased by an average of 17.5%.

“We are not talking about one or two of our successful customers,” Greg Kane, Conservatory Outlet’s sales director, said. “We are talking right across the board: all those retail customers that have been with us for more than a year have collectively increased the amount of products they buy from us.”

Greg also explained that while sales increased by an average of 17.5%, some customers were doing a lot better. “We genuinely want to help the dealers make money,” he said. “For example, we have one company who recently joined us who has seen…

Conservatory Outlet Seeks To Partner With Customers

Author: Conservatory Outlet Team  |  Leave a Comment >>

Greg Kane joined Conservatory Outlet as sales director at the beginning of November, having worked for a rival trade fabricator for six years.

In his new role Greg is expected to take the successful Conservatory Outlet model and improve it. A tall order? A tough one, Greg tells Conservatory Magazine, but not insurmountable.

Even in the double glazing business, where a fair number of mavericks and young turks have made their way on to the boards of leading companies, Greg Kane still seems fresh-faced and unbattered by the encroaching cynicism that many sales directors display.

However, Greg is more than up to the job, having convinced Conservatory Outlet’s managing director Matthew Glover to hire him, despite Matthew having already decided that he didn’t need a sales director.

So what enticed him over from his previous employer, and have there been any surprises?

“Fabricators promise to support their customers’ marketing effort,…

Conservatory Outlet dealers vote for more marketing meetings

Author: Matthew  |  Leave a Comment >>

At the end of the Conservatory Outlet Dealer Conference held recently those attending asked for the event to be a regular feature of the calendar, with some key decisions having been made that stamped their mark on what is regarded by many as Britain’s best independent retail window, door and conservatory organisation .

This was just the second such meeting organised by Conservatory Outlet for their nine dealers who between them run 16 showrooms, at which they learned about the work that goes into maintaining the central web site and their individual web sites that are provided as part of their commitment to the network. They also had the opportunity to comment on a number of new product initiatives that had been researched, voting against some new hardware finishes but approving a new bi-fold door, thus demonstrating the very real influence they have in how Conservatory Outlet

Conservatory Outlet Marketing Meeting

Author: Matthew  |  Leave a Comment >>

We’ve recently held our dealer meeting at the Marriott hotel near Manchester Airport, and the feedback suggests it has been a real success.

Conservatory Outlet are keen to ensure that we encourage a team spirit amongst the dealers, and representatives of the various installation companies in the UK were present.

The day began with Andrew, Martin and Steven from Motionlab discussing the benefits of Conservatory Outlet and its dealers continuing to work hard developing our SEO and PPC campaigns.  Not normally the most exciting subject, but the dealers were interested to learn how all the websites are developing with 50,000 visitors to our sites in January alone.

We then discussed standardising the marketing message further through the network particularly with special offers being run by the different dealers. Conservatory Outlet put so much effort into helping their dealers generate leads and sales from a variety of marketing strategies.

In the…
