With conservatory sales running at perhaps half of some predictions made just three to four years ago, are Conservatory Outlet’s claims of substantial sales and enquiry increases to be taken with a pinch of salt? Conservatory Magazine writer Michael Oxted investigates.
“March has been a record month for conservatories and double glazing, the best we have ever had.”
How many companies in the conservatories and double glazing market can say that, truthfully? So when Matthew Glover, managing director of Conservatory Outlet made the claim, was I hearing yet another double glazing salesman’s extravagant verbiage?
Matthew Glover does not fit the image of the archetypal double glazing salesman. In fact he strikes one as being unassuming, thoughtful and even cerebral, the instinct to trust this man coming out strongly. So what does he have to back up his claims, which in…
This charity is involved with education, healthcare, and a real emphasis on environmental projects in Malawi, Africa.
Since 2006, Ripple Africa has helped 176 tree nurseries plant over 3 million trees. Conservatory Outlet has now agreed to fund 20 of these tree nurseries which equates to a minimum of 72,000 trees to be planted every year. This equates to one tree for every window frame or door produced in our factory or at least fifty trees planted for every conservatory or orangery installed by our dealers.
Trees in Malawi are being cut down at an alarming rate. An area of forest the size of a football pitch is cut down every 10 minutes. This tree planting project is centred in Nkhata Bay District, Malawi, Africa, an area of 4,000 sq.km which is about the size of Kent.

The biggest double glazing & conservatory networking event of the year is almost upon us and if you still plan on attending the third annual GlassTalk event but have yet to purchase your tickets, then we suggest you do so without fail.
Due to the unparalleled success of our previous two GlassTalk events and the huge numbers of people who attended, we have had to go a little more upmarket with this year’s event taking place at the luxurious and previous stately home, Walton Hall Hotel, Warwickshire on Thursday 27th May.
GlassTalk was put together with the aim of providing a forum were people within the industry can get together, build relationships, make contacts, discuss relevant issues and even conduct business. It gives those conservatory, double glazing and uPVC window suppliers the opportunity to network with others…
Retail companies who have signed up to the Conservatory Outlet network have been giving positive feedback to the extended services the company provides. Managing Director, Matthew Glover, is even travelling to one network member’s premises to present a sales training seminar to a handful of members.
“We at Premier Windows & Conservatories are proud to be associated with Conservatory Outlet and have found the partnership to be a huge advantage to our company,” said Paul Chenery, joint owner of the company.
“In 2008 we became a Conservatory Outlet dealer and with great support from Matthew and the team we were able to relocate to larger premises and showcase a wider range of conservatories and orangeries. Our customers are able to view differing styles and colours and appreciate the standard of workmanship that Conservatory Outlet offers.”
Andrew Green from Greenway Home Improvements, said he jumped at the…
Housemaster Home Improvements has joined the Conservatory Outlet Network, marking a significant expansion in the network’s reach.
Conservatory Outlet is widely regarded to be a Yorkshire and Northern-based outfit. However, a recent push by the company’s managing director, Matthew Glover, resulted in widespread interest from companies based in the south.
Clive Brimmell, owner of Hertfordshire’s based Housemaster Home Improvements decided to join the network after learning that Conservatory Outlet was generating leads for the southern half England that didn’t have local member companies available to service them.
After Housemaster Home Improvements was able to prove its credentials as a competent retail company – including owning a showroom – Conservatory Outlet built a modern website (www.housemasterhome.com) for the company, which immediately started to generate business and sales enquiries from website visitors throughout Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire searching for the latest conservatories, orangeries and energy saving double…
