Conservatory Outlet works closely with Ripple Africa, a UK registered charity that is involved with a variety of education, healthcare and environmental projects in Malawi, Africa.

Conservatory Outlet has agreed to fund the planting of 20 tree nurseries in Malawi. This equates to 72,000 trees per year, one tree for every window or door frame manufactured by Conservatory Outlet or 50 trees for every conservatory or orangery installed by a Conservatory Outlet dealer!

Planting trees is a very practical way of reducing carbon dioxide and fighting climate change, and it also has a number of beneficial effects in the local Malawian communities. Amongst other things, planting trees restores degraded land, provides a source of sustainable timber, provides more food and alleviates poverty.

The partnership with Ripple Africa is just one part of an environmental policy that Conservatory Outlet has put in place, which also includes initiatives to reduce the company’s own carbon footprint, and pioneering the sale of A-rated energy efficient windows and triple glazed windows and doors.
